Land Acknowledgment
The uncomfortable truth is that the lands where we live, work, and play were created through the forced removal of Indigenous peoples from their traditional homelands. These peoples have lived here since time immemorial, and their descendants are still here, maintaining cultural and spiritual connections to the land. The land I practice on was originally the home of many tribes that currently fall under the umbrella of Coast Salish. For more about Land Acknowledgement and why it matters, please see my Resources page.
Who is the
KOLETO WELLNESS GROUP?
The Koleto Wellness Group is a growing wellness project, founded by Katrina Koleto, LMT.

Our mission statement is:

To help our fellow humans achieve greater levels of total wellness through massage, movement, meditation, and more.

But Katrina is just one person, so who else is part of the Koleto Wellness Group?

YOU are!

I could not do this amazing work without my clients doing their own work.
Each client brings to the table their willingness to care for their own body, and the support and teachings of countless people before me.

In addition to that, the Koleto Wellness Group couldn't exist without countless teachers, mentors, sages, guides, ancestors, and loving community members.
Although I am one person, my work is a manifestation of the energy of many.

Below is a list of just some of the mentors, teachers, ancestors, and supporters for whom I am most grateful:

How much do your services cost? Our prices vary depending on the service you choose. Please visit our pricing page at Massagebook for detailed information on our rates.
-
How should I prepare for my appointment? To prepare for your appointment, please ensure you are well hydrated the day before and the day of your massage. Drink plenty of water, consume electrolytes if needed, and minimize caffeine and alcohol intake for 24 hours before your massage. This helps ensure the best experience, as hydrated tissues are easier to work with and more comfortable. Additionally, please shower within 24 hours of your appointment and wash your hands immediately before your session.
-
How long does each service take? The duration of each service varies. Typically, appointments last between 60 minutes and two hours. Please see our booking page at Massagebook for specific details about the service you are interested in.
-
Are there any side effects to the treatments? Most of our treatments have minimal side effects. However, some clients may experience some tenderness for a day or two afterwards, if an area that we worked on was significantly tight beforehand. You may also experience unexpected emotional releases or tiredness. Every person responds to massage differently, and even the same person can respond differently at each session. The best side effects that people report include better sleep, improved mood, increased mobility, and less pain!
-
Will the service hurt or be painful? Our services are designed to be as comfortable as possible. Some treatments may cause mild discomfort, but our team will ensure you are comfortable and will adjust the treatment as needed. We do not believe in the "no pain, no gain" approach to massage.
-
Do you offer any packages or discounts? No, we currently do not offer packages or discounts.
-
What is your cancellation policy? Our cancellation policy requires 48 hours notice. Please contact us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. For an extended explanation of our cancellation policies, including exceptions, please visit our Policies page.

Do I have to be naked during the service? No, you do not have to be naked. We prioritize your comfort and privacy. We will provide appropriate coverings and ensure you feel comfortable at all times. Some clients are comfortable removing all their clothing, while others are not. There is no right or expected level of dress. Whatever you decide, your massage therapist will leave the room while you get changed. Once undressed to your level of comfort, you will get under the provided sheet and blanket before your therapist re-enters the room. Your most personal areas (chest/breasts and front of pelvis) will stay covered at all times, whether you wear underwear or not. One thing to consider when deciding how much clothing to remove is the area of the body you want addressed. If you are having hip or lower back pain, removing your underwear does offer the therapist direct contact with those muscles and increases the possible options for treatment approaches. Similarly, if you have back or shoulder pain, wearing a bra might hinder your therapist's ability to treat the area. That said, your therapist is a professional and can always find some type of approach for these areas if you choose to keep garments on. The most important thing is your comfort!
-
What should a client expect during their visit?Clients can expect a professional and comfortable experience. Katrina will guide you through each step of the process to ensure you feel at ease. You will have an opportunity to talk over your health history and immediate concerns and goals for the massage, as well as plenty of time to ask any questions beforehand. During the massage, you will be in control of the experience and able to request any adjustments as needed or desired to make the massage more comfortable for you, including but not limited to requesting changes to the amount of pressure used, the temperature of the table warmer, and use of tools like hot stones or cups.
-
What services do you offer? We offer a variety of massage services, including cupping, intraoral massage, and deep tissue/relaxation. Each service is designed to meet your specific needs and ensure the best experience possible. For a full list, see our scheduling site at Massagebook.
